These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Mindset Psychological Care, LLC website located at www.mindsetpsycare.com (the “Site”), operated by Jordan M. Rood, Psy.D. (“I,” “me,” or “the practice”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. These Terms apply only to the Site itself; your clinical care is separately governed by the consent forms and policies you review and sign through the secure client portal before treatment begins.

1. Not for Emergencies

This Site and the client portal are not monitored in real time and are not intended for use in a medical or psychiatric emergency. If you are in crisis or in immediate danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For 24/7 crisis support, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

2. No Doctor-Patient Relationship From Site Use Alone

Browsing this Site, using any of its interactive self-reflection tools, or submitting the general inquiry form does not, by itself, create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship. A clinical relationship begins only once you have completed intake, reviewed and signed the required consent and privacy documents, and been accepted as a client through the secure client portal.

3. Age Requirement

This Site is intended for use by individuals age 18 or older. If you are a minor, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf, and should be involved in submitting any inquiry or scheduling request on your behalf.

4. Licensure and Jurisdiction

I am licensed to practice psychology in Pennsylvania and Florida, and am authorized to provide telehealth services in additional states that participate in the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT). I can only lawfully provide clinical services to individuals who are physically located, at the time of a session, in a state where I am licensed or otherwise authorized to practice. It is your responsibility to confirm your location qualifies, and to notify me if your location changes between sessions.

5. Informational Content Only

Content on this Site — including descriptions of my approach, the Resources & FAQ section, and any self-guided exercise or tool pages once available — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or individualized clinical advice, and using it does not constitute receiving treatment from me. Any results, worksheets, or output from the Site's interactive tools are for your personal reflection and are not stored, reviewed, or monitored by me unless you separately share them during a session.

6. Intellectual Property

The text, design, graphics, and interactive tools on this Site are the property of Mindset Psychological Care, LLC, except where otherwise noted, and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law. You may view and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute Site content for commercial purposes without my prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

This Site links to third-party services I use or recommend, including the secure client portal (SimplePractice, at mindsetpsycare.clientsecure.me), PSYPACT's provider map, and crisis resources such as 988, 211, and SAMHSA's treatment locator. I do not control these third-party sites and am not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of any third-party site is subject to that site's own terms and policies.

8. Website Data Collection and Analytics

This Site uses Netlify Analytics to understand general traffic patterns, such as which pages are visited and how often. This is separate from, and does not involve, the Protected Health Information described in the Notice of Privacy Practices — it reflects website visit data only, is not tied to your identity as a client, and is never used for clinical purposes. Submitting a form on this Site (such as the general inquiry form) sends the information you enter to me directly for the purpose of responding to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindset Psychological Care, LLC and Jordan M. Rood, Psy.D. are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this Site, including reliance on its informational content or any interruption, error, or unavailability of the Site or its tools. This limitation does not apply to clinical services, which are separately governed by the standard of care, professional liability coverage, and the consent and treatment agreements you sign as a client.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11. Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For significant changes, I will update this page and note the new effective date.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by applicable federal law or the law of the state in which you are located at the time of a clinical session.
